The Underwater Robotics Team is now completely moved into the Missouri S&T Student Design and Experimental Learning Center, SDELC for short. This change was long overdue, and with the recent team re-brand, it was an obvious choice to relocate. For years, the Robotics Design Team (now the Underwater Robotics Team) had used a personal space located in the Engineering Research Lab on campus. While it was beneficial for the team to have it’s own space, it came at an expense. One of the best aspects of being part of a design team is the ability to communicate and learn lessons from the other teams on campus. Our isolation had inhibited our ability to evolve as a team.
The move occurred last Thursday, and the Design Center staff very graciously provided us space on incredibly short notice. The Underwater Robotics Team could not be more thankful for their help on making this a painless transition. We cannot wait to thrive in such a positive and productive environment. If you have any questions regarding this move, please contact Christian Upschulte at cjutmc@mst.edu
